As we get into September and with fall quickly approaching, I wanted to style an outfit that would transition into the new season. Off shoulder tops and dresses will still be big in the fall just as it was in S/S '16. The shade of this top perfectly ties into fall while still being light weight for the warmer days. It has been my go to top in summer and I'm sure it will still have a strong presence in my wardrobe this season! As Fashion Week begins I'll continue reporting about different trends and looks we can all try this fall!

BIRTHDAY BOTANCIAL GARDEN OOTD

To begin my birthday celebration, I joined my dad for breakfast at Ted's Bulletin at the Mosaic District. I chose the french toast with sides of hash brown and eggs, which was amazing! It was my first time eating here and can't wait to go back to try more of their food! They play classic television shows like I Love Lucy and old-fashioned songs which gives the place a timeless feel. After breakfast we headed to D.C to visit the US Botanical Garden!

I was on the search for some really good donuts recently and I came across Duck Donuts in my area. So I decided to try them out on this rainy day and I was greeted with an amazing selection of donuts but skipped on the toppings, maybe next time! They make your order fresh and they are warm when you get them. I got the glazed,lemon,maple,vanilla and chocolate to try with some friends. Definitely recommend this donut shop!

FUR & LEATHER VIBES

This week has been pretty cold for fall and as November comes to an end I thought I would put together an autumn outfit before I have to wear layers of sweaters and jackets. This look incorporates leather which is a fall staple and fur which is a great transition piece from fall to winter.

I visited Georgetown cupcakes at the Bethesda location followed by a stop for a latte and a walk around DC on a nice day out the other day. I would recommend visiting this cupcake location rather than the original store in Georgetown to avoid the long lines!

On Wednesday my dad and I flew to Los Angeles and it was also the day I turned 18! My trip is for 10 days and I'll be flying back to DC Saturday morning. These are shots I took in the airport as I waited to board the airplane and on the plane.

It's the first day of my spring break and I started it off with a good old fashion shopping day. Its still cold here on the east coast but hoping for some warmer weather before break ends! Its hard to pick out what to wear when the weather starts changing and become stuck on wearing a light outfit but then have to hold a coat in case it gets too cold!So today I initially went for black tee with gold detailing, a leather jacket and jeans but then threw on my coat because it was a lot colder than I expected!

I actually bought this scarf while shopping to keep me warm!

Snowy day at Dolcezza Cafe

Its another snow day here in the DC area and with school closed, we headed to the Mosaic District! We've never been here before, but many of my friends have recommended me to check out the area. Its a quaint and cute place located in Fairfax with stores like Anthropologie, Target, Lou Lou, small boutiques and healthy restaurants and cafes.

Dolcezza serves gelato, pastries and coffee, the space has a urban warm feel with cute decor and an welcoming environment. Its a charming place to sit down with a book, write a blog post or just to people watch!

The past month has been very memorable and exciting! I've been updating Instagram very frequently as I began December in NYC, flew to Los Angeles a few days later and began the new year by seeing Sam Smith in concert back in DC!

Shake Shack

On Monday which was Columbus Day weekend we headed over to DC to try Shake Shack on F Street which has been getting a lot of news. The restaurant was packed when we entered and the employees were all very friendly.

I ordered the 'Shroom Burger which was the only veggie burger and is made out of mushrooms. I would definitely recommend it, its fried with mushroom and cheese cooked inside of it. The fries were also really good and I can say its the best veggie burger I've had in DC.

Cantina Mexicana

After visiting The Catholic University of America in D.C, my family and I wanted to find a Mexican restaurant so we found Cantina Mexican in Crystal City.

The guacamole was really good!

I ordered the vegetarian quesadilla which wasn't as great as I thought it would be.The food is filling but lacks flavor.

Spring in DC

My family and I took a drive to Washington DC to celebrate my dad's birthday. It was a gorgeous day with the sun out and flowers blossoming. It is definitely feeling like spring out!
